Step 1: Determine a Way to Track Your Hours
1000 Hours Outside has a mobile app you can use to track your hours. You can also download a printable calendar we created to track your time OR send an email requesting that we print one for you!
Step 2: Go Outside!
Any time outside counts! (1000 Hours Outside calls this "exchanging screen time for green time"). We will be sharing a few community meet-up opportunities on this webpage. Next up: Chicago Park District's Polar Adventure Day at Big Marsh on Feb. 17, 2024!

Over time, we hope to feature families and ideas to inspire one another in this challenge both on this website, our newsletter, and on social media. In the meantime, we encourage you to send pictures and updates of your family/children engaging in outdoor activities.
